The Endura Imperial is perhaps the rarest of the Enduras (not as rare as the Durograph which is not an Endura).
At first glance it appears to be a Black & Bronze (see below). It is not! It is referred to as blue (or purple) & yellow.
To test for an Imperial a strong light is placed at the cap lip and, wonder of wonders, one sees blue/purple.
This one has exceptional color. No cracks or chips. Excellent condition. Bright color.

The Imperial is perhaps the rarest of the Conklins after the Duragraph/Crescent filler era.
It was made as an Endura model and in the Student model.
At first glance it appears to be a Black & Bronze (see below).
It is not! It is blue (or perhaps purple) & yellow.
To test for an Imperial a strong light is placed at the cap lip and, wonder of wonders, one sees blue/purple.
This one has exceptional color. The color is so good that you can see the blue without placing a light inside the cap (see pic).

I think this set was used, but not much. It is truly superb.
Hallmarked 9kt cap band inscribed F.D.W. (for Frank D. Waterman) and 375 signifying 9kt gold.
Very deep barrel imprints. M/F flexible nib. Smooth writer.
The case is in fantastic condition. No rips, tears or holes. Only a few smudges.
Almost 1/2" longer than the Waterman 56 or Parker Duofold Senior. The nib is gigantic.
I judge the nib to be a Fine, but it is flexible enough to make virtually any width you wish.
Excellent condition. No cracks or chips. The POC means pocket version which means that it has a gold fill pocket clip.
It is an eyedropper filler with a screw cap (somewhat unusual) that holds lots of ink, about 4 eyedroppers full. It is an extremely smooth writer.
I have been using it for some time and it is a wonderful pen.
